– a Critics Choice Awards hivatalosan is megnyitotta a Hollywood-i díjátadó szezont –
A szervezet büszke arra, hogy történelmileg a legpontosabban jósolja meg az Oscar-várományosokat. Az idei díjazottak azonban okoztak némi meglepetést, úgyhogy meglátjuk, hogy az amerikai kritikusok véleményével mennyire fog egyezni az akadémiai szavazók véleménye idén. A 31. Critics Choice Awards-nak idén is a Santa Monica-i Barker hangár adott otthont, ahol közel háromszáz világsztár is részt vett.
Vida Virág
A teremben végzett random közvéleménykutatásom alapján nagyon szoros verseny alakult ki a a fő kategóriákban. A legjobb film kategóriák mezőnyét leginkább a sokszínűség jellemezte olyan filmekkel, mint a Bugonia, a Frankenstein, a Hamnet, a Jay Kelly, a Marty Supreme, az Egyik csata a másik után, a Bűnösök, a Sentimental Value, a Train Dreams és a Wicked: For Good. A maga műfajában minden film kiemelkedő darab, ezért leginkább az ízlés döntött, mintsem a szakmai indokok. A teremben megkérdezett kritikusoknak nem volt egybehangzó véleménye, többen a Hamnet-et és a Bűnösöket tekintették fő várományosnak, de a legtöbben mégis az egyik Csata a másik utánra tippeltek. A tippjük bejött: a 2026-os, 31. Critics Choice Awards legjobb filmje az Egyik csata a másik után lett.
Még széthúzóbb volt a vélemény a legjobb színész kategóriában, ahol Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet és Michael B. Jordan voltak a legnagyobb esélyesek. Sokak meglepetésére a Marty Supreme sztárja, Timothée Chalamet lett a befutó, aki – ahogyan az est háziasszonya, Chelsea Handler fogalmazott – “szexivé tette a ping-pong-ot”.
Az amerikai színész-humorista Chelsea Handler egyébként harmadik alkalommal vezette a díjátadót és idén sem fukarkodott a poénokkal. Leonardo DiCaprionak a 2024-es jachtbalesetére is utalt. “Szerencsére Leo el tudott jönni a gálára, annak ellenére, hogy egy hajó fogságába esett az óceánon. Majdnem olyan volt, mint a Titanic, csak egy kicsit rosszabb, mert Jeff Bezos is ott volt…” – viccelődött, felidézve, hogy a véletlennek köszönhetően éppen Bezos jachtja volt a legközelebb, aki a bajba jutott filmsztár segítségére tudott sietni.
A legjobb női főszereplő Jessie Buckley lett, akinek érdemes a nevét megjegyezni, mert a Hamnet-ben való átütő és szuggesztív játéka és kiugró színészi teljesítménye nagy valószínűséggel Oscart is fog érni idén. Olyan nagyszerű kollegákat utasított a háta mögé, mint Emma Stone a Bugoniáért, Leonardo partnerét, Chase Infinitit az Egyik csata a másik utánból vagy Amanda Seyfried-et az Anna Lee testamentumáért.
A Netflix legtöbbet letöltött (!) filmje, a fiatalok és gyerekek körében is világszerte hatalmasat taroló K-Pop Demon Hunters két fontos díjat is elvitt. A Zootopia 2.-vel és az Álmaidbannal szemben megnyerte a legjobb animáció kategóriát és Ejah átvehette a legjobb dalért járó CCA-díjat is.

A helyszínen – a szervezet magyar újságíró és szavazó tagjaként – lenni minden évben katartikus élmény. A közel 1400 vendég (140 asztal) mindegyike zömében szakmai vendég – színészek, rendezők, operatőrök, zeneszerzők, a stúdiók és ügynökségek képviselői, sajtósok és természetesen a házigazdák, az amerikai és kanadai kritikusok – és éppen ez emeli a Critics Choice Awards-ot a szakmai körökben legelismertebb Hollywood-i díjátadójává.
